Before the website was built, Linear Product Solutions needed a clearer view of who it serves and how those buyers decide what to purchase. The research project gave the website a foundation for its message, product paths, and next steps.
Research before visual design
The work clarified the buyers the site needed to speak to, from manufacturers and welding operations to farm and agriculture businesses. It also helped separate the main product paths from the broader sourcing offer.
From findings to page structure
The research shaped a simpler starting question for the homepage: what does the buyer need? That led to focused paths for cargo control, industrial parts, and Prairie agriculture, with a separate route for products that need to be sourced.
A separate project with a direct role
Research was not treated as a slide deck that sits beside the website. It informed the positioning, page structure, copy, and visual direction used in the finished site.
